Children learn through daily interaction with others as well as exploration and discovery of their enviroment.  A child's enviroment and activities should allow them to be challenged yet offer feelings of success when tasks are completed.  Children's daily activities require stability and structure, however, curriculum should be flexible for spontaneous learning activities.

Teachers are experienced in early childhood education and development thus providing a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment. St. Mary's Sunshine Center staff participate in the Maryland Depatment of Education credentialing program. This program required that staff require more training and continued education than is required by licensing. Staff is also trained in CPR & First Aid.

Students are admitted without regard to race, religion or national origin.  Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of $30 non-refundable registration fee and security deposit.
